The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO), in coordination with Saint Lucia Met Services wishes to inform the public of the upcoming CARIBE WAVE 26 regional tsunami exercise.
Exercise Schedule & Alert Methods
On Thursday 19 March 2026, a simulated tsunami warning will be triggered across the island. Residents and visitors should expect the following:

Local Signals: In the participating communities of Laborie, Choiseul, and Vieux Fort South, residents may hear the sounding of sirens and the ringing of church bells.

Scenario: The exercise simulates a rapid-onset tsunami caused by a flank landslide of the Kick-’em-Jenny submarine volcano.
